Fashion Influences From The Great Gatsby.

The Great Gatsby 2013 remake by Baz Luhrmann influenced a revival of the 1920s fashion. The 'Roaring Twenties' look is a current present day fashion appeal, returning time and time again in fashion trends.

This style can be seen in the spring/summer 2012 collection by fashion company Marchesa. Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig offered frequent and opulent input toward “Great Gatsby” themed luxury fashion.

In 2011 the opulent theme is seen in  Marc Jacobs collection and again in 2011 by Tory Burch.

The costume designer in the iconic picture was Catherine Martin who collaborated with Italian designer Miuccia Proda. For the menswear in the picture the duo partnered with Tiffany & Co and Brooks Brothers.

There’s more than an influence of The Great Gatsby at Brooks Brothers. The store is selling a collection of suits modelled after those worn in the film, including the famous pink suit.

The Great Gatsby has continued to influence fashion from the catwalk to the high street time and time again after it's original realise in 1974 and it seems will continue to do so in future fashion.
