Fashion Influences From Back To The Future

The iconic 1955 film, Back To The Future features mermaid-style, shiny skirts and teddy boy tux jackets. Ocean coloured teal and sequin prom dresses were all the rave in this futuristic movie.

Deborah Lynn Scott was the lead costume designer for the first back to the future movie and created the classic Marty Mcfly look, double denim, a checked shirt and of course high topped trainers. To complete the look add a sleeveless parka and a visor and you have one stylish Marty Mcfly!

The Marty Mcfly look is seen everywhere in 2014, double denim is all the rave!

At Milan fashion week 2014, Gucci sent a luxurious denim suit down the runway.
